Guests will visit the very spot where Harold Bell Wright pitched his tent while learning about the people and culture of the Ozark Mountains as well as Old Matt’s Cabin that stands in its original location and is now on the National Historic Registry. The Shepherd of the Hills Homestead Tour takes guests to Inspiration Point, the second highest place in Missouri, where statues of the main characters of Wright’s book stand beneath the awe inspiring 230-foot Inspiration Tower.
