If you want to experience a high-energy show that is packed full of talent then you should make reservations to see The Duttons while in the Branson area. This show is made up of The Dutton family, which includes parents, Dean and Sheila, and their children and spouses and grandchildren. Their show is one of the most enduring shows in the Ozarks, having been performing here since 1997. Besides being a staple in the Branson entertainment industry, the Duttons have been on TV on PBS specials and they were finalists on the hit NBC show America’s Got Talent. Besides having their theatre in Branson, they also have a theatre in Mesa, Arizona where they perform January through March. They perform in Branson from April through December.
What began as violin lessons for their children to instill a strong work ethic and a sense of discipline, blossomed into a full-time career for the whole family! The family began touring and were doing about 200 shows a year when they moved to Branson and performed here on dates around their national tour. Box Car Willie saw their television special and wanted them to perform in his theatre. They leased the theatre in 1999 and in 2001 they purchased it.
The Duttons have seven biological children and seven adopted children. There are five of the children that perform regularly on the show, Benjamin, Timothy, Jonathan, Abigail, Amy, and Timothy’s wife, Judith. Jenny and Joshua occasionally perform when they visit.
They have performed all across the United States as well as on European stages. This amazingly talented family is gifted on so many different instruments, blessed with incredible voices, and they aren’t afraid to let their silly side show either! If you want to see a high energy, delightful, variety show that is perfect for the whole family, be sure to make reservations to see the Duttons when you are in the Ozarks!
