Everybody will tell you that Branson is brimming with live music shows that span a wide variety of genres and eras, from fabulous show tunes to Irish folk songs...from rock ‘n’ roll to satisfying soul music...from 40’s favorites to current chart-toppers, you’ll find it all in Branson!  And the live shows aren’t limited to music alone, you’ll discover talented dogs and cats, amazing acrobatics, mystifying magic, and unique acts you won’t find elsewhere.  But there’s one genre, spanning many eras, on which Branson built its reputation as the Live Entertainment Capital, and that’s good ole country music!  You’ll hear some of the greatest country songs ever written performed every day right here in the Ozarks.

You’ll find country galore at a true Branson music institution, the Grand Country Music Hall, a cozy theater that features several new and long-running shows, like Down Home Country, featuring classic country, Western swing, and gospel songs that kick off your day on the perfect note. The new Ozarks Country makes a Sunday in Branson the best day of the week for great music!  Tammy and Tonya, of the popular Ozarks Bilyeu family of entertainers, belt out classic country songs, as well as today’s most popular hits.  Then there’s Comedy Jamboree, a show headlined by the absolute funniest goofballs you’ll find anywhere, and featuring excellent country music.  And Grand Jubilee, a grand good time from beginning to end, it’s headlined by the sensational quartet, New South, and features a wide range of music, including some of your favorite country songs.

Two long-running shows that enjoy a huge and loyal fanbase are Pierce Arrow and Clay Cooper’s Country Music Express.  Clay’s show is legendary among visitors and locals alike; he delivers an amazing performance night after night, surrounded by a cast that features his talented family and some of the best musicians, singers, and dancers you’ll find anywhere.  Pierce Arrow delivers strong harmonies on a wide variety of hit country and pop songs, complimented by dazzling costumes and electrifying stages sets, special effects, lighting, and sound. And nothing brings the house down like laughter, and this show delivers laughs by the bucketload!

Branson also hosts a variety of shows that pay tribute to country music icons, including Conway Remembered, a brilliant nod to the man who gave us songs like “Hello, Darlin’”and “Tight Fittin’ Jeans.” Then there’s Hank Williams Revisited; channeled by talented Nashville recording artist, Tim Hadler, the country legend comes to life, performing songs like “Your Cheatin’ Heart.”  At the God & Country Theaters, you’ll find Cash Alive!, a tribute to the late, great Johnny Cash, 50 Years of Kenny Rogers, Statler Brothers Revisited, Dolly Parton & Friends, and Alabama Rolls On Tribute, a production that showcases one of country’s most prolific and beloved groups.  You’ll also enjoy the Good Ole Boys and Hot Country Countdown, two more shows at the theater that feature a nice variety of country greats.  Other tributes include George Jones and Friends Remembered, A Tribute to Marty Robbins, George Strait - A Tribute, Classic Country’s Patsy Cline & Friends, a Tribute to George Strait Dinner Show, and Raiding the Country Vault, an exciting show that features artists who’ve worked with some of country’s biggest names.

We can’t forget the two shows that put Branson on the music map -- the Baldknobbers and the Presley’s!  The Branson’s Famous Baldknobbers show continues their tradition of sharing great country music from their new location on Highway 165, just a minute or two off Branson’s famous Strip.  Presleys’ Country Jubilee, the first show to build its own theater on Highway 76 - The Strip, is still delivering classic and current country hits to packed houses year after year.

If this impressive list of live shows isn’t enough country music for you, Branson is also home to Absolutely Country, Definitely Gospel and Buck Trent, the Hee Haw regular who’s twice been named Instrumentalist of the Year by the Country Music Association.  And then there’s Nashville recording star, Billy Dean, the sensational singer who gave us the Grammy-nominated, ACM Song of the Year, “Somewhere in My Broken Heart.”
