1: Time Traveler is the fastest, steepest, and tallest complete-circuit spinning coaster in the world! Standing at 100-feet-tall, this incredible coaster was custom-designed for mountainous terrain, and reaches speeds of 50.3 miles per hour with a 90 degree, 10-story vertical drop. It’s the first and only coaster of its kind with three inversions, a 95-foot tall vertical loop, and a double launch - one goes from zero to 47 mph in 3 seconds, and the other from 30 to 45 mph in 3.5 seconds! Whoa! Coaster enthusiasts from around the world can’t wait to get to Silver Dollar City for this monster coaster - make sure you join them!
2: Samson becomes the newest production to take the stage at Sight & Sound Theatres in Branson! Easily one of Branson’s most visited venues, Sight & Sound brings our favorite bible stories to life in a big way! Special effects, stunning stage sets and costuming, beautiful music and gifted performers, this bigger-than-life show will literally bring the house down around the audience!
3 & 4: New shows at the Starlite Theatre! The Prophecy, styled after and applauded by the long-running Christmas spectacular, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, makes its Branson debut at the Starlite in November. You’ll enjoy all the key components of a Trans-Siberian performance, scaled to fit smaller venues, including the dazzling lights, special effects, the snow, the classy costuming, and of course, the exquisite music! The captivating Janice Martin Cirque Show will move to The Starlite in 2018, and Larry’s Country Diner returns, and brings the enchanting Malpass Brothers!
5: Incomparable singer/songwriter/musician, Billy Yates, debuts “Songwriters in the Round” at the Americana Theatre! This new show brings in a brand new concept for the Branson stage; the best of performing songwriters will join the award-winning Yates in unplugged and unscripted performances, sharing the stories behind their music. The first three shows will feature two of the most talented songwriters in Nashville; they’ve penned tunes recorded by the likes of Joe Diffie, Tim McGraw, George Strait, and Brad Paisley. The artists will rotate weekly throughout the season, with each appearing in three shows. If you love Billy Yates in Raiding the Country Vault, don’t worry, he’ll still perform in that popular show in 2018!
6 & 7: New shows at the Jim Stafford Theatre! Classic country lovers take notice, the all new production, Heartland Country, debuts in 2018 at the Jim Stafford Theatre! Long-time Branson entertainers, Splinter Middleton and Casey Ellison, are joined by newcomers with long-time family ties to Branson’s entertainment community, Kaylie Adams and Logan Allen. And mornings will be brighter with the addition of Bluegrass Remedy Featuring Kari Garrison!
8: Big Cedar’s Fun Mountain has arrived! Opening this year, this new attraction hits full stride in 2018 - it’s a 50,000-square-foot adventure complex that features Uncle Buck’s underwater themed bowling, the Spin Zone laser tag arena, kids’ climbing area, a 4,000-square-foot arcade, the Flip Zone bumper car ride, Full Swing Golf Simulator, and the Kids’ Nature Discovery Center.
9, 10, & 11: Golf, golf, and more golf in Branson! Already teeming with several excellent courses, Branson’s reputation as a golf destination continues to amp upward. Bass Pro Shops owner, Johnny Morris, debuted his Gary Player-designed course, Mountain Top, in mid-2017. In 2018, he’ll open a course in the Branson Creek development, tentatively named “The Ozarks,” designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Another course is in the works with Tiger Woods, his first in the United States. The Woods’ course, “Payne’s Valley,” will join the group of lodging, dining, golf courses, and other attractions, at Morris’ Top of the Rock/Big Cedar Lodge development, and will honor the late and beloved Missouri golf legend, Payne Stewart.
Branson retains much of its long-time appeal year after year - while still welcoming everything that’s new - making it the ideal destination for loyal fans of long-running shows, and new fans of the latest ride or attraction! A visit to Branson every year? It’s an absolute must for everyone!
