Best of Branson - Week of July 8, 2018 - What We Love In Branson This Week!

We hope you’re already having a fabulous July!  And we hope you’re making it even more fabulous by being in Branson this coming week...even if you can’t make it now, the four incredible attractions we’re lovin’ this week will be here when you do, weather permitting, of course, because these fun places are all outdoor activities.

For issue #18 of our series, we’ve got a zipline that’ll take you over Lake Taneycomo and an attraction that offers a great view of Branson Landing and beyond, as well as three fantastic new activites offered by the historic Shepherd of the Hills.

In this weekly series, we talk about shows, attractions, activities, and more - everything we’re sure you’ll love about Branson...check us out every Sunday to see what we’re lovin’ lately!

Here, in alphabetical order, is What We Love in Branson This Week:

Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline & Steampunk Balloon Ride:  Branson Landing’s more than just a great place to shop and eat, you can enjoy a quick and exciting zip across the lake, and go up in the sky without going away!

3 Reasons Why We Love Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline & Steampunk Balloon Ride

1. Comfortable zipping!  The zipline is one of those cozy ones that just lets you take a seat, gets you securely strapped in, and off you go - no uncomfortable gear or rigging riding up on you, and the experience of zipping across the lake is breathtaking!

2. Up, but not away!  The Steampunk Balloon takes you high into the sky to enjoy an incredible three-dimensional view of the Landing, Lake Taneycomo, Historic Downtown Branson, and beyond, all while it stays safely contained so you won’t fly away - great when your time is limited.

3.  What a location!  You can shop at lots of wonderful stores, find a delicious meal, and enjoy some of Branson’s best sightseeing without even leaving the Landing!

Schedule this week:  Both attractions are open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. - it closes when everyone waiting gets a ride!

Location:  Branson Landing - you’ll find it between Lake Taneycomo and Historic Downtown Branson - there’s parking at both ends of the Landing.

Shepherd of the Hills - Zipline Canopy Tours:  This beloved Branson landmark offers three options for their Canopy Tours - you can take the 4 short-lines, 4 long-lines, or all 8 lines - all offering a memorable zipping adventure.

3 Reasons Why We Love Shepherd of the Hills Zipline Canopy Tours

1. Options!  Maybe you’re a first-timer, or you have limited time, you can opt for the 4-Short Lines Tour, if you have a bit more time and want more thrills, go for all 8 lines.

2.  That scenery!  Shepherd of the Hills is one of Branson’s most beautiful properties, and a Zipline Canopy Tour is a great way to take it all in!

3.  The location!  Maybe you’re going for the zipline, but don’t forget everything else that Shepherd of the Hills has to offer, including the iconic Outdoor Drama, Inspiration Tower, and the big thrills of the Vigilante Extreme ZipRider!

Schedule this week:  Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location:  Shepherd of the Hills Homestead on West Highway 76

Shepherd of the Hills - Lil Pete’s Playland:  A fun new place for the little ones, this inspired playplace offers several different activities, including a mini- golf course where you can join them in a game!

3 Reasons Why We Love Shepherd of the Hills - Lil Pete’s Playland

1. Lots to do!  In addition to the mini-golf course, the kids will discover a play barn, petting zoo, obstacle course, and more!

2. The mining trough!  Something you won’t find at your typical playplace, there’s nothing more fun for kids than to feel like a real treasure hunter!

3. Getting the kids outdoors!  These days, even the youngest children spend far too much time tethered to a video game, television show, computer or tablet, or the biggest of all device addictions, the cell phone.  Getting them to Lil Pete’s Playland in the beautiful Branson outdoors is doing them a big favor!

Schedule this week:  Open daily 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. - stays open until 8:00 p.m. on Shepherd’s show days.

Location:  Shepherd of the Hills Homestead on West Highway 76

Shepherd of the Hills Ropes Course:  Another one of the Homestead’s newest attractions, the Ropes Course offers both an entertaining challenge and a great way to get some exercise in the great outdoors!

3 Reasons Why We Love the Shepherd of the Hills Ropes Course

1. An enjoyable challenge!  This Ropes Course offers a variety of rope walls, swinging bridges, and more of everything you expect from a real righteous ropes attraction!

2. Safe and secure!  You’ll experience the course with the ideal security measures in place; a comfortable harness lets you enjoy the ropes without feeling encumbered - you can move about freely and just have fun!

3. More to do!  Like we’ve already mentioned, you’ll be at Shepherd of the Hills Homestead, a phenomenal family-fun location that offers so much to see and do!

Schedule this week:  Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
