Ziplines in Branson...Discover 7 Super Ziplines for High-Flying Fun!

One of the biggest thrills in Branson can be found on a zipline!  Just a few short years ago, ziplining slammed into Branson big time; this “next big thing” wasn’t just a flash-in-the-pan fad; however, it’s an exciting way to enjoy the great outdoors that’s here to stay!  You’ll discover suspending or hanging style ziplines with body rigging and those where the rider is seated. There are short, speedy ziplines, all sorts of canopy tours (a tour through mostly mountainous, wooded terrain using a series of ziplines and/or aerial bridges,) and ziplines right in the heart of the city.  If you find one zipline a tad bit busy, no worries, there’s another one just minutes away! (If you love ziplines and other big-time thrills...“Extreme Rides - Finding Branson’s 10 Biggest Thrills!”  And then want to chill out when the sun goes down…”Discovering Branson’s Nightlife - 10 Great Places to Hang Out!”)

We’re not putting these in any specific order of preference or even alphabetic - we’ll let you try them all and you can tell us which comes out on top!

1. Shepherd of the Hills Zipline Canopy Tours:  Offering several adventurous ziplines, you can choose from four short lines, or 4 long lines, or opt for the combo and tackle all eight!  If you’ve been to the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead to see the outdoor drama, visit Inspiration Tower, ride the ATVs, or whatever, you know what a beautiful piece of property it is, and there’s no better way to enjoy it than on a zipline canopy tour!

Where?  Shepherd of the Hills Homestead & Adventure Park - 5586 West Highway 76

When?  10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday (schedule may change seasonally)

Why?  Because you’ve always wanted to try a zipline, why not do it at a Branson landmark?

What?  As in “what else should I know?”  Guests must be at least three (3) years-of-age and weigh no more than 250 pounds - there are no restrictions on height.  (The Homestead & Adventure Park is also home to the Vigilante - more info below!)

2. Adventure Ziplines of Branson:  An excellent opportunity to zip in the middle of the city!  That’s right, Adventure Ziplines can be found just seconds away from Branson’s world-famous Strip, Highway 76.  With seven (7) ziplines and three (3) rope bridges, cables up to 2,000 feet in length and up to 70 feet above the ground, and speeds that reach 50 mph, there’s no bigger adrenaline rush to be had in the heart of Branson!

Where?  501 North Wildwood Drive - near the intersection of Gretna and Roark Valley roads

When?  10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for Summer - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. remainder of the year

Why?  You can see the city of Branson as you never have before!

What?  As in “what else should I know?”  Guests must be at least three (3) years-of-age and weigh no more than 275 pounds.  Children under 70 pounds will ride in tandem with a confident and responsible guardian or an experienced Adventure Ziplines’ guide.

3. Branson Zipline at Wolfe Mountain - Blue Streak Fast Line & FreeFall Xpress:  The ideal zipline experience when you want a high, fast thrill, but you don’t have a lot of time.  After a quick zip along the Fast Line, you’ll be on a 100 foot platform; to depart the platform, you’ll simply step off and “free fall” down!  Don’t worry, you’ll be safe in your rigging, and you’ll absolutely love the rush!

Where?  Wolfe Creek Preserve - 2339 US Highway 65 in Walnut Shade - 9 miles north of Branson

When?  9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily

Why?  Did you miss the “rush” part we mentioned above?  That should be reason enough!

What?  As in “what else should I know?”  No age restrictions, but guests must weigh at least 70 pounds and not more than 250 pounds.

4. Branson Zipline at Wolfe Mountain - Flying Prospector & Ozarks Explorer Canopy Tours:  Both of these exciting canopy tours take you through the gorgeous terrain of Wolfe Mountain - Flying Prospector is the shorter of the two, taking about an hour and a half to complete, while the Ozarks Explorer offers the full canopy tour available at Branson Zipline; it takes about two hours.

Where?  Wolfe Creek Preserve - 2339 US Highway 65 in Walnut Shade - 9 miles north of Branson

When?  9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily

Why?  A beautiful property to enjoy while zipping along several lines - it’s a great way to spend the day!

What?  As in “what else should I know?”  No age restrictions, but guests must weigh at least 70 pounds and not more than 275 pounds.  (Branson Zipline also offers an optional walking tour, just in case someone in your group would rather not zip.)

5. Parakeet Pete’s Waterfront Zipline:  One of two amazing ziplines in Branson that doesn’t require extensive rigging - you’re comfortably strapped into a seat and sent on your way with little instruction, but a whole lot of fun!  Enjoy the scenery of Lake Taneycomo and Mt. Branson on your way up, and Branson Landing and the lake on your way back down.

Where?  Branson Landing - 1113 Branson Landing Boulevard

When?  Opens 10:00 a.m. daily - closing time can vary - operates from March through December.

Why?  A comfortable zip, especially for a first-timer - great for couples - ideal location!

What?  As in “what else should I know?”  Must be at least 42” tall to ride, and 47” tall to ride without an adult guardian.  Each chair has a 450 pound capacity. Parakeet Pete’s also offers a Steampunk Balloon ride on the Belk end of the Landing - a tethered big balloon experience that takes guests 200 feet up without floating away!

6. Indian Point Zipline Adventure Tours:  If you’ve been to Branson, you’re probably familiar with Silver Dollar City, the world-famous award-winning theme park located on Indian Point - did you also know there’s an incredible zipline at the Point?  You can experience six (6) ziplines totalling 2,700 feet of zip-tastic fun, and some of the most scenic property in the Missouri Ozarks!

Where?  1056 Indian Point Road - when you take the Silver Dollar City exit off Highway 76, you’ll see two routes, one goes to the theme park, just take the other route to everything else on Indian Point.

When?  10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily - schedule can change depending upon the weather.

Why?  Take advantage of the beauty of Indian Point and a super friendly and helpful zipline staff!

What?  As in “what else should I know?”  Must weigh at least 50 pounds, but not more than 270 pounds.  Riders 15 years-old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

7. Vigilante Extreme ZipRider:  It’s fun just to ride the elevator up Inspiration Tower to the ZipRider departure deck!  One of those comfy ziplines where guests are seated - securely belted in, but without all that rigging, you launch from 170 feet up and cruise as fast as 50 miles-per-hour to a landing pad below - what a blast!  Your cozy seated position makes it even easier to enjoy a stunning view of the Ozarks’ countryside.

Where?  Shepherd of the Hills Homestead & Adventure Park - 5586 West Highway 76

When?  10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily from March through December (schedule may change with the weather)

Why?  Trust us, you’re really gonna love this one!

What?  As in “what else should I know?”  Riders must weigh between 80 and 275 pounds, be at least 52 inches tall, and not exceed 80 inches in height to ensure the utmost comfort and safety.
