Branson in the Winter - What’s Happening? A Lot!

Why You Should Visit Branson During January, February, & March!

Once upon a time in Branson, it was fondly referred to as the Hot Winter Fun season, those first three months of the new year, and some folks still use the moniker.  No matter what you call it, the less hectic pace from January through March is one of the best times to visit Branson, and we’re ready to tell you why! Over the years, Branson has added several side roads, but the main drag (so to speak) known affectionately as The Strip (a.k.a. Highway 76 or Country Music Boulevard,) still draws a pretty good number of vehicles.  But during the winter season, all the streets lighten up considerably, which means getting around town is a bit easier. And there’s the biggest draw - live entertainment - it’s what put Branson on the map, after all. Although a large number of the shows kick off their season somewhere between late March and mid-April, there are plenty of shows to see during the first quarter of the year.

Then there’s all that shopping to be done...clearance sales everywhere, from big box stores to locally-owned and operated boutiques, as well as all the new merchandise for Spring hitting the shelves. It’s easy to see why shopping has become one of the biggest draws for Branson guests.

You can also enjoy museums and attractions during the winter months, including Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, Hollywood Wax Museum, the World’s Largest Toy Museum, Veterans Memorial Museum, and the unforgettable Titanic Museum Attraction - find out more about Titanic here: “Branson’s Titanic Museum Attraction - What’s Now, New, and Next?”  And, if great food and wine is your kind of “Attraction,” check out St. James Winery & Museum - there’s more information in this post: “Missouri Wineries - The Best Of Branson is St. James!

So, there’s shopping to be done, lots of eating to do - most of Branson’s restaurants, cafes, and fast-food joints remain open throughout the year - scenery to experience, museums to explore (and most have interactive exhibits,) and other attractions to enjoy, but what about those fantastic shows?  Some have just a few dates in early January, then pick up again in April, while other shows will have performances scheduled throughout the winter months...here are shows performing during the first quarter of 2019, what dates you can see them, and where you’ll find them:
