A Guide to Branson, Missouri Wineries: Tours and Free Samples

Branson has a wonderful variety of places to enjoy and celebrate great wine.  Whether you are an expert or simply beginning - you will find fun and adventure await.  This guide will bring you up to speed quickly and put you in control of your Branson wine explorations.

Stone Hill Winery

Taste award-winning wines on free guided tours at Stone Hill Winery, operated since 1986. Sample sweet and dry wine, reds, whites, roses, Spumantes, and dessert wines for about an hour-long tasting. Guests feel part of the step-by-step winemaking process as they are guided about through the winery. The tour consists of an introduction to the complex and a short historical film. Then guests soak in the delightful aromas of maturing sherry, and then watch the actual bottling process of Stone Hill’s famous Spumante wines. The tour then ends in one of six tasting rooms where the sampling begins! And if you’re in a hurry and don’t want to go through the tour, you can just go straight to the tasting! Located at the junction of HWY 165 and Green Mountain Dr. Hours are April-December 8:30am-8pm Mon-Sat, 11am-6pm Sun, winter hours limited.

Mount Pleasant Winery

Mount Pleasant is known nationally for their sister winery in Augusta, MO since 1859, and has a fine selection, from sweet to dry, with reds, whites, and others. Samples are limited to five per person. They offer Wine 101 classes in the summertime, $15 per person. There are tours available, perfect for those who want to hear about the process and history of winemaking, then enjoy samples and purchases. Group tours are available and fun for wine enthusiasts. Guests are invited to bottle their own wine from a specially-designed 600-gallon French oak barrel. Branson Ridge Winery cultivates its wine locally in the Ozarks Mountains, and has a scenic view of the Landing from its outdoor sheltered patio. Try Mac’s Tasting Bar, where you taste the flavor of a drink you mix up. “Pick 6” is a popular choice, where you get creative and pick out your own six-pack of any beers put together. A drive-thru window provides speedy service, with a full menu available and same hours as the store.
