Stone Hill Winery
Taste award-winning wines on free guided tours at Stone Hill Winery, operated since 1986. Sample sweet and dry wine, reds, whites, roses, Spumantes, and dessert wines for about an hour-long tasting. Guests feel part of the step-by-step winemaking process as they are guided about through the winery. The tour consists of an introduction to the complex and a short historical film. Then guests soak in the delightful aromas of maturing sherry, and then watch the actual bottling process of Stone Hill’s famous Spumante wines. The tour then ends in one of six tasting rooms where the sampling begins! And if you’re in a hurry and don’t want to go through the tour, you can just go straight to the tasting! Located at the junction of HWY 165 and Green Mountain Dr. Hours are April-December 8:30am-8pm Mon-Sat, 11am-6pm Sun, winter hours limited.
Mount Pleasant Winery
Sample numerous award-winning wines from a classic well-known winery! Mount Pleasant is known nationally for their sister winery in Augusta, MO since 1859, and has a fine selection, from sweet to dry, with reds, whites, and others. Samples are limited to five per person. They offer Wine 101 classes in the summertime, $15 per person. There are tours available, perfect for those who want to hear about the process and history of winemaking, then enjoy samples and purchases. Group tours are available and fun for wine enthusiasts. Guests are invited to bottle their own wine from a specially-designed 600-gallon French oak barrel. Mount Pleasant Winery opened in 2008, and is located at the junction of Gretna Rd and Green Mountain Dr. Open daily 9am-7pm, winter Saturdays only 9am-5pm.
Branson Ridge Winery and Marketplace
Branson Ridge Winery and Marketplace has a different, Euro-vibe unlike other wineries in the area. Distinguishable for its style, Branson Ridge Winery offers a European-inspired selection of wines. Guests can taste a variety of wines and sample an array of food offered at the cafe, where friendly staff recommends proper pairings of wine and cuisine to maximize flavor. Branson Ridge Winery cultivates its wine locally in the Ozarks Mountains, and has a scenic view of the Landing from its outdoor sheltered patio. Located on the boardwalk of the Town Square at Branson Landing, hours Mon-Sat 10am-9pm Sun 11am-7pm.
Macadoodles has the largest selection of beers and wines in the area, with a fun atmosphere and informative, interactive staff. Located across the street from Branson Landing, Macadoodles has over 600 imported and craft beers, including a great selection of British, German, Czech, and other European beers. Beer and wine tastings, from popular to obscure products, occur daily usually 4pm-6pm. Free of charge Wine 101 courses, eight in all, teach finer points such as drinking versus smelling wine, proper food and wine pairings, and terminology. Try Mac’s Tasting Bar, where you taste the flavor of a drink you mix up. “Pick 6” is a popular choice, where you get creative and pick out your own six-pack of any beers put together. A drive-thru window provides speedy service, with a full menu available and same hours as the store. Macadoodles plans for parties, weddings, events, and promotions, and even has a premium tobacco smoke shop up front. Hours Mon-Thur 8am-9pm, Fri-Sat 8am-10pm, Sun 10am-8pm.
Palate Fine Wine and Provisions
Palate Fine Wine and Provisions contains rare, imported wines for enthusiasts to peruse, as well as discounted wines under $20. Priding itself on an inventory of hundreds of different wines from over fifteen different countries, Palate Fine Wine and Provisions stores reds, whites, roses, sparkling, and desserts from California, Italy, France, Australia, Spain, and others. Tastings are each Thursday, where visitors may sample two to four wines from Sonoma to France and across the globe. Located on Main St in Old Downtown, open 10am-8pm.
Missouri family-owned and operated, the Lindwedel Winery produces popular handcrafted local wines. Fostering a quaint, independent, and non-commercial atmosphere, the Lindwedel Winery offers free tastings by request and reasonable prices. The site also specializes in outdoor weddings, with its stunning view of the Ozarks nestled on a bluff overlooking Branson. Located near the water tower and HWY 376/76 junction, closed for winter. Hours Thur-Sat 11am-7pm, Sun-Mon 12pm-5pm.
