Best of Branson - Week of April 22, 2018

What We Love In Branson This Week!

The last full week of April in Branson will be a great one!  For edition #7 of the series, “What We Love In Branson This Week,” we offer four resident shows and one concert performance that we know you’ll love, too!

In this series, we talk about shows and attractions grabbing our attention right now; make sure you tune in every Sunday to find out what we’re lovin’ lately!

Here, in alphabetical order, is What We Love in Branson This Week:

Broadway to Bublé Starring George Dyer:  A gorgeous voice giving audiences a brilliant bit of Bublé, the best of Broadway, a tantalizing touch of opera, and a whole lot of unforgettable entertainment!

3 Reasons Why We Love Broadway to Bublé Starring George Dyer

1. That stunning voice!  Anyone who’s ever heard him sing agrees that George Dyer is easily one of Branson’s best singers -- the range, the style, the genuine artistry of a skilled vocalist, he’s the consummate pro!

2.  That talented family!  Throughout his years in Branson, Dyer has been joined by family on stage, currently performing with his wife...the beauty, chemistry, and love is undeniable each time he sings with Clarisse.

3.  That phenomenal band!  Never one to fall back on the comfort of pre-recorded tracks, Dyer has always surrounded himself with the best musicians, and the new Broadway to Bublé production is no exception.

Schedule this week: Tuesday, April 24 - Thursday, April 26 - Saturday, April 28 - all shows at 2:00 p.m.

Venue:  Americana Theatre

Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute:  Relive the music of the legendary folk-rock band from tribute artists that send a “Bad Moon Rising” over a brilliant Branson evening!

3 Reasons Why We Love the Creedence Clearwater Revival Tribute

1. An iconic catalog of hits!  CCR created the soundtrack for an entire generation in the 60s and 70s - the era of a rock ‘n roll revolution and the Vietnam War, music for both reflecting and rejoicing.

2. Tribute talent to the max!  A solid group of tribute artists share the music with sharp attention to detail of the original compositions, while managing to instill their own touch to every unforgettable hit.

3. The songs!  The cache of CCR hits includes “Suzie Q,” “Run Through the Jungle,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” “Lookin’ Out My Back Door,” “Green River,” “Up Around the Bend,” and two Grammy Hall of Fame songs, “Fortunate Son” and “Proud Mary.”

Schedule this week:  Tuesday, April 24 & Thursday, April 26 at 8:00 p.m.

Venue:  Branson Tribute Theatre

Fleetwood Mac Dreams: The Stevie Nicks Fantasy Concert Tribute:  The memorable music of rock goddess, Stevie Nicks, and the phenomenal band that holds a significant place in rock music history.

3 Reasons Why We Love Fleetwood Mac Dreams: The Stevie Nicks Fantasy Concert Tribute

1. It’s freakin’ Stevie Nicks!  Talented, gorgeous, ethereal, mysterious...that special ‘something’ that defies simple description - all we know is we love her, and Julie C. Myers embodies her magic right before our eyes!

2. The setting!  The show has found the perfect theater to give Fleetwood Mac and Nicks’ fans an experience that’s up-close and accessible - more than they’d ever get at a huge concert venue.

3. The hits!  You’ll hear the songs of the band and the solo artist, including “Stand Back”, “Rhiannon,” “Gypsy,” “Edge of Seventeen,” “Dreams,” and “Go Your Own Way.”

Schedule this week:  Tuesday, April 24 - Thursday, April 26 - Saturday, April 28 - all shows at 2:00 p.m.

Venue:  Jerry Presley’s God & Country Theatres

The Eagles Tribute - Take It To The Limit:  There’s no “limit” to the how much everyone adores this group - when it comes to a place in rock music history, it really doesn’t get much bigger than The Eagles!

3 Reasons Why We Love The Eagles Tribute - Take It To The Limit

1. That concert experience!  It feels like you’re really at a live performance of The Eagles, one that includes the late, great Glenn Frey - a concert that, tragically, will never be replicated by the actual group.

2.  Epic hits!  The Grammy award-winning band has delivered some of the biggest songs in rock history, including “Already Gone,” Hotel California,” “Witchy Woman,” “Take It Easy,” “Desperado,” and “Life in the Fast Lane.”

3.  Devoted tribute artists!  Their love of the The Eagles is obviously genuine - the vocals and musicianship is spot-on, and their passion for giving fans an unforgettable experience comes through on every note!

Schedule this week:  Monday, April 23 - Wednesday, April 25 - Friday, April 27 - all shows at 8:00 p.m.

Venue:  Branson’s Tribute Theatre

Trace Adkins & Billy Dean:  Two music giants bring a double musical dose of big-time country on Trace Adkins’ How Did We Get Here Tour, with Special Guest, Billy Dean!

3 Reasons Why We Love Trace Adkins & Billy Dean

1. Two Branson favorites!  Adkins is always a welcome concert performer, and Billy Dean headlined his own popular resident show here for several years.

2.  Hit country songs!  Trace Adkins topped the charts with “Ladies Love Country Boys,” “You’re Gonna Miss This,” and “(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing.”  Billy Dean scored several hits, most notably his Song of the Year, “Somewhere in My Broken Heart.”

3.  Big names - bigger fun!  Branson loves its locally-based shows, but it always looks forward to an impressive list of one-night-only concert performances, particularly when they feature headliners like Trace Adkins and Billy Dean!

Performance schedule:  Friday, April 27 at 8:00 p.m.

Venue:  Welk Resort Theatre
