A hot new show has been burning up the Branson, Missouri stage lately - Nedgra Culp & Girls on Fire! Although it just joined Branson’s sensational lineup of live entertainment this season, the show’s stars have a solid musical resume, especially headliner, Nedgra Culp. Tribute show fans will remember her reign as the queen of soul, Aretha Franklin, with the king of all tribute shows, Legends in Concert. Before she was expertly belting out classics like “Respect” and “Think” on the Legends stage, Nedgra was regularly stealing the Branson spotlight from big names like the late, much loved, and still missed, Andy Williams and Mel Tillis, as well as Mr. Yellow Ribbon himself, Tony Orlando. She’s also excelled in productions with vintage music themes, like 50s At The Hop and Lost in the 50s.
Nedgra Culp’s two “girls on fire” are also veteran vocalists with a strong Branson pedigree; Dana Currier held her own alongside the likes of two big-time Elvis tribute artists, Tony Roi and Joseph Hall, as well as the Brady of Branson himself, Barry Williams. Amy Harper has enjoyed stints with Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Promise, and Branson’s very popular Sight & Sound Theatres’ productions. Altogether, these three phenomenal females have dozens of years of high quality entertainment under their belts, and they pull from all of that respectable experience to deliver a remarkable show as Nedgra Culp & Girls on Fire!
In addition to the three wonderful women, this can’t-miss show features an incredible live band to help them deliver some of the best songs released over the past 40 years. And they don’t just stick to the music of legendary ladies; audiences enjoy a diverse playlist that includes hits from Johnny Cash, like his classic “Ring of Fire.” In keeping with the show’s moniker, they perform a hot version of “Girl on Fire,” a big song for hit singer and “The Voice” judge, Alicia Keys. And variety is the spice of life for this show; they play everything from country to the standards, and hot pop hits from the likes of Adele...a special treat is the acoustic set they do that features songs from the legendary Andrews Sisters and McGuire Sisters, this memorable part of the show alone is worth the price of a ticket!
